Guacamole

The best guacamole dip ever!

If you've ever wondered how to make guacamole, this recipe is the answer. It takes just minutes to prepare.

Avocados are full of heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, fiber and folate. Serve this guacamole recipe with homemade tortilla chips and watch them gobble it up.

Guacamole Dip

  • 3 ripe Hass avocados, peeled and pitted
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 Tbsp. lime juice
  • 1 serrano chili or jalapeno pepper, chopped finely
  • 1 Roma tomato, seeded and diced

In a food processor or blender, combine all ingredients except tomato. Pulse several times until you reach the desired consistency. It can be as smooth as youlike. Stir in tomato. Cover and chill in refrigerator at least 30 minutes.

Serves 16.

Per serving: 48 calories, 4 g fat, 0 cholesterol, 3 g carbohydrate, 2 g fiber, 1 g protein, 3% Vitamin A, 19% Vitamin C, 1% calcium, 1% iron
