You can buy Lindt chocolate bars at upscale grocery stores. Not only does the dark chocolate provide a richer flavor, dark chocolate is also higher in antioxidants than any other kind of chocolate. And the soy flour adds a nice heart-healthy punch of isoflavones.
But go easy on these cookies -- they're not exactly low calorie. If you'd like a lower-calorie chewy chocolate chip cookie, try my oatmeal chocolate chip cookies or chocolate chip cookies with lemon.
And you can lower the fat content in these chocolate chip cookies by using fat-free soy flour. You can buy low-fat soy flour or defatted soy flour at your local health food store, such as Whole Foods Market.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. In a small bowl, whisk together the first four ingredients. Set aside. With an electric mixer, cream together butter, Neufchatel cheese and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg and orange zest. Stir in flour and Lindt dark chocolate bar chips.
Drop by rounded teaspoons onto prepared cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes until lightly browned. Let cool on a wire rack.
