Blueberries are the surprise ingredient in this smoothie recipe. In fact, you may notice I use blueberries a lot in my smoothie recipes. There are several reasons for this. One, blueberries are a superfood, meaning they're full of anitoxidants, low in calories, high in fiber and loaded with vitamin C. Two, it's easy to find frozen blueberries.
