Whole Wheat Bread

This bread machine recipe for whole wheat bread uses orange juice and white whole wheat flour to provide a more tender flavor.

Although you can use traditional whole wheat flour in this homemade wheat bread recipe, you'll find you get a more tender loaf with white whole wheat flour. White whole wheat flour has the same nutritional profile as traditional red whole wheat flour and can be substituted for any recipe that calls for whole wheat flour.

Whole Wheat Bread

Add ingredients to your bread machine in the order suggested by the manufacturer. If your bread machine has a whole grain cycle, choose that.

Serves 16.

Per serving: 146 calories, 2 g fat, 4 mg cholesterol, 29 g carbohydrate, 2 g fiber, 4 g protein, 1% Vitamin A, 11% Vitamin C, 4% calcium, 8% iron
