Did you know January is National Oatmeal Month? That's because more oatmeal is consumed during January than any other month of the year, according to Quaker Oatmeal.

I also learned that milk is the most popular topping for oatmeal.

But that shouldn't limit your creativity. Try apple butter, brown sugar, chopped dates, sliced strawberries, chopped walnuts, dried cherries, sliced almonds, chopped apples, wheat germ, maple syrup or vanilla yogurt on your oatmeal.
